SUNY Empire State College and SUNY Canton Partner to Give Canton Students Access to SUNY Empire’s Online MBA Program at Reduced Cost
Agreement Makes SUNY Empire Graduate Courses Available to SUNY Canton Students at Undergraduate Price, Saving up to $4,000 toward an MBA
Agreement Helps Meet Workforce Demand in Healthcare Management
(SARATOGA SPRINGS, NEW YORK – July 10, 2020) SUNY Empire State College and SUNY Canton today announced a new partnership that allows SUNY Canton students to cross register and enroll at SUNY Empire to earn a master of business administration degree.
The agreement specifically makes it possible for SUNY Canton students working toward a bachelor of science in healthcare management or a bachelor of business administration to concurrently begin their studies in SUNY Empire’s 36-credit MBA in business management program. In addition, students enrolled in SUNY Canton’s undergraduate healthcare management program can enroll in SUNY Empire’s MBA in healthcare leadership.
The graduate classes at SUNY Empire will be offered at an undergraduate rate, further reducing costs for students by $330 per credit hour. Students taking the maximum number of credits through this hybrid program will save as much as $4,000 toward their MBA.
SUNY Empire’s graduate business programs are delivered entirely online. Earlier this year, SUNY Empire expanded its areas of study for MBA candidates to allow them to tailor their program to suit their interests, and in response to the growing needs of employers in high-demand industries. Students will have 10 concentrations to choose from, including IT management, global trade, and marketing.
“When we work together, students win. And students win big with today’s agreement. We’re proud to partner with SUNY Canton to help their students earn an MBA through SUNY Empire faster, at lower cost, and without leaving their community,” said SUNY Empire State College President Jim Malatras. “This program will help prepare in-demand management and administration professionals, especially in the growing healthcare sector. I’d like to thank President Zvi Szafran, his team, and everyone at SUNY Empire who helped create this new opportunity for students of SUNY Canton and the North Country.”
“Our partnership agreement with SUNY Empire allows our students to seamlessly transfer into their graduate coursework,” said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. “SUNY Empire is offering the next rung on the educational ladder for our Management and Healthcare Management students, which are two of our most popular online programs. I’m appreciative of the new advanced opportunities available to our students, and of our new partnership with SUNY Empire.”
