Combined BBA/MBA Degree Pathway – SUNY Canton

Enrollment in a combined pathway allows highly qualified, current SUNY Canton Bachelor of Business Administration students to work on a master's degree while completing their bachelor’s degree. Up to 12 credits of designated graduate courses are incorporated into the undergraduate degree program and will count toward both the bachelor’s degree and the master’s degree.

Program Requirements

SUNY Canton students will be able to apply for the combined pathway once they have:

  • completed 60 credits of undergraduate coursework 
  • completed all required prerequisite courses with a B or better
  • earned a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above at the time of application to the pathway

Pathway

  • Bachelor of Business Administration to Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Management

Prerequisite Courses

The MBA in Business Management requires undergraduate level courses in: micro economics (3 credits), statistics (3 credits), and accounting (3 credits).

Combined Pathway Admission

Admission into the combined pathway is highly selective. SUNY Canton undergraduate students apply and complete the application to the master's degree through the School for Graduate Studies online.

The following application requirements are waived: application fee (contact grad@esc.edu for waiver code), the application essay, two recommendations.

Combined Program Courses

Students accepted to this combined pathway will include 4 courses (12 credits) in their approved undergraduate degree plans, chosen from the list below. SUNY Empire’s MBA-BM program has 10 unique concentrations and SUNY Canton students can tailor their course selection to align accordingly. Special requests to substitute these courses will be considered by the program chairs in consultation with the student's SUNY Canton advisor.
