School of Human Services
The School of Human Services encompasses concentrations in the “helping professions” – a wide range of career fields that serve populations including:
- Children and Families
- Senior Citizens
- Veterans
- Homeless
- Immigrants and Refugees
- Individuals with Disabilities
- Individuals with Addictions
- Individuals with Mental Illness
- Individuals with Criminal Records
There are also a wide range of human service organizations that focus on areas such as employment, food and nutrition, health and wellness, youth development, and foster care and adoption.
Our faculty have extensive field experience ranging from direct service to program evaluation. They continuously work to develop initiatives and programs that are current in the field, such as our B.S. in addiction studies.
A degree in community and human services expands your understanding of human needs, values, and social conditions and helps you develop the expertise to build and maintain healthy individuals and communities.
