Academic Support has many interactive tools available to students on the Academic Support portal on MyESC. One among them is the assignment calculator. This tool can help with breaking up writing assignments into manageable steps. The assignment calculator can assist students who are working on research papers, annotated bibliographies and literature reviews.  By plugging in a start date and a due date this tool will calculate a schedule containing step by step instructions to complete the required assignment.  It also has embedded links to the ESC library and academic support to help students stay focused on, and complete their assignments on time. One student reported that “the assignment calculator gives you more in-depth instructions to help you draft a better research paper…some people will find the assignment calculator extremely helpful if they struggle with time management.”
