It’s my honor to welcome you to SUNY Empire State College for our Spring 2022 Term.  

The start of a term is an exciting time, filled with the promise of new academic lessons to be learned and new people to meet. Over the last two years, we’ve strived to continue enhancing your experience as a student, with more degree options, new forms of assistance, and fresh programming. For example: 

• We’ve added new academic programs, including an associate degree in general studies; a bachelor’s degree in business administration; master’s degrees in fields such as applied behavior analysis, public history, applied analytics, and agricultural education; and our first doctorate, an Ed.D. in educational leadership and change. 
• We’ve increased our opportunity programs — the Empire Promise Program, the Empire State Opportunity Program and the SUNY Educational Opportunity Program — to better serve students who need enhanced academic and financial supports.  
• We secured a grant to provide students with emergency funds to meet basic needs during these difficult times.  
• We launched and grew the SUNY Connects program, a collection of live virtual programs that engage you in everything from arts and culture and health and wellness to study skills and job search strategies. 

     

We know that when it’s time to choose a college you have many options, and we're so glad you’ve chosen SUNY Empire. We look forward to engaging with you in this next term and helping you advance your academic and professional goals.
