Expressive Outcomes: A Virtual Art Show in Partnership with Anderson Center for Autism

by Susan McFadden, Special Events Coordinator

SUNY Empire State College, in partnership with Anderson Center for Autism, will host a virtual art show, featuring art pieces from Anderson’s program, Expressive Outcomes.

The official opening of the art show will be April 12 to April 16. There will be a presentation in recognition of the launch of the art show on April 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. This will be held via Zoom.

The presentation will be given by Pamala Rogers, director of Pure Vision Arts, an initiate of The Shield Institute. Pure Vision Arts provides people with autism and developmental disabilities opportunities for artistic expression and builds public awareness of their important creative contributions.

Pamala will talk about Pure Vision Arts and their mission. She will showcase some of the artists they work with and share their stories and accomplishments. She will also discuss the culture of autism, social change, and neurodiversity.

Note: One of the artists being spotlighted in the April 13 event is William Britt Rockland artist: From Willowbrook to a painter for the stars (lohud.com).

Registration is required. An access link to the event will be provided upon registration.
