NY State of Health
What Does it Mean for You?
NY State of Health, The Official Health Plan Marketplace, is where New Yorkers can shop for, compare and enroll in health insurance coverage. You have a choice of health plans and help finding the plan that is right for you. It’s the only place to get financial assistance to reduce the cost of coverage.
The Marketplace is open to individuals and families. Health insurance offered in the Marketplace includes a comprehensive set of benefits, called the Essential Health Benefits.
We are here to help.

Support is available online, in person in your community and by phone – you pick what works best for you. Assistance is available in multiple languages.

What if I cannot afford Health Insurance?
The federal American Rescue Plan enacted in March 2021 has lowered the cost of health care coverage for most New Yorkers, including those who may not have qualified previously due to higher income. Changes in the law have expanded the eligibility and financial assistance to ensure all New Yorkers have access to health care and dental coverage. New to the Marketplace this year is the Essential Plan, a zero monthly premium for health, dental, and vision coverage. Visit the Essential Plan Fact Sheet to see if you qualify.
