Todd Myles, Assistant Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and Information Security Officer

Todd oversees the college’s IT infrastructure and ensures the excellence of our IT services to SUNY Empire’s students, faculty, and staff. He also works closely with the chief financial officer to develop a sustainable IT budget that can always meet the changing needs of the college.

Todd has more than 21 years of IT experience, 19 in higher education. He has been a part of the SUNY system for 11 years and served in many different capacities at SUNY Empire.

As the former director of Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure, he oversaw the college’s move to a new tier 3 data center within SUNY. He also led the team that designed and maintained the physical components of the college's networks, data center, telecommunications, and hybrid cloud computing infrastructure.

While in that role, Todd became involved in managing information security. He continues to work with the college to establish an information security program that reduces our cybersecurity risk and keeps our IT infrastructure and users safe.

Todd is an active participant in the higher education IT community and a graduate of the New IT Managers Program through EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing higher education through the use of information technology. He is certified by the ITIL Foundation and the Change Management Foundation.

Todd has a Bachelor of Science degree in financial management from Quinnipiac University. He serves on the executive board of the SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center and is a member of the SUNY Council of Chief Information Officers.
