(SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sept. 12, 2014) The Academy for Lifelong Learning and SUNY Empire State College entered into an agreement, which formalizes the long-standing relationship between A.L.L. and the college.

“The formal agreement strengthens our relationship with the college and will enable A.L.L. to better serve the community,” said Jeff Shinaman, A.L.L. executive director. “We are very grateful for Empire State College’s ongoing support and all of us at A.L.L. look forward to advancing our mutual mission of promoting and engaging in lifelong learning.”

The signing ceremony was held at the college’s facility at 113 West Ave., Saratoga Springs, on Sept. 11. More than 100 A.L.L. members and several members of the college’s staff attended.

In addition to Shinaman, the agreement was signed by Toby Tobrocke, director of development and interim executive director of the Empire State College Foundation, and Paul Tucci, vice president of administration for the college.

Jim Hartman, A.L.L. executive council chair, opened the event and noted, “This fall we’ve had the largest enrollment in our history.”

A.L.L. now has 284 members, 32 of whom are new. More than 250 members are taking classes.
