More than $31,000 Raised During the 2015 SEFA Campaign
A total of $31,200 was raised by SUNY Empire State College faculty and staff throughout New York state as part of the 2015 State Employees Federated Appeal.
Thanks to the flexibility provided to all state employees by the annual SEFA campaign, members of the SUNY Empire community were able to give to local charities and organizations surrounding the 35 locations the college serves throughout the state.
In announcing the results of the college’s 2015 campaign, co-chairs Alison Brust, records specialist with the Office of the Registrar, and Roopa Kunapuram, database specialist with the Office of Decision Support, expressed their gratitude to statewide SUNY Empire SEFA representatives Jane Cudmore, Tom McElroy, Margaret Sithole, Jamie Decker, Yolanda Harris, Carl Burkart, Alec Meiklejohn, Matt Labban, Lauren Webb, Lori McCaffrey, Katherine Ostroot, Mark Clavarie, Deborah Shufelt, Shiela Danforth, Shannon Austin and Cynthia Flynn for their hard work and contributions in making this year’s campaign a success.
Brust and Kunapuram also thanked college President Merodie A. Hancock, SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher and Stephen Sherokey, the SEFA loaned executive for SUNY in the Capital Region, for their leadership of the campaign.
As the loaned executive for SUNY in the Capital Region for more than six years, Sherokey, an associate with the United Way of the Greater Capital Region and former public heath representative for the state Department of Health for nearly 24 years, assists the chairs of area campaigns in managing successful campaigns.
