The students shared with Dwyer, who lives in Manhattan with her husband and fellow alumnus, Hugo ’06, that the group will be holding “Thanksgiving on the Hudson,” 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at the college’s Hudson Gallery, 325 Hudson Street, fifth floor, at the corner of Vandam Street, the college’s Manhattan location.
At the event, special guest Kaswaina Powell, also known as Kaswaina Da Poet, will be signing her new book, “Raw Poetry Do Judge Me Society.”
The club welcomes college students, alumni and faculty and provides a forum to create, share, develop and hone creative forms of expression.
On the last Friday of every month, Voices members and guests meet faithfully from 5-7 p.m. at the college’s Livingston Art Gallery, 177 Livingston Street, Brooklyn. Students and alumni from the college’s more than 35 locations throughout New York state are welcome and encouraged to join Voices.
