Course Guides
Tired of constantly checking for broken links to library readings in your Moodle courses? Want to add some spark to your reading lists? Want to add some help and scaffolding materials around your readings and research assignments? A Course Guide may be for you! A Course Guide is a customizable website maintained by the library that can house links to course readings, tutorials, videos, images and more. They are easy to create and modify, and a built-in link checker is run periodically by the library to ensure broken links are identified and fixed promptly.

Article or Video Links
Do you want to embed a stable, persistent link to an article, video or e-book from within a library database?

Research Skill Learning Objects
The library has created several customizable learning objects that can be used to teach or reinforce research and information literacy concepts and skills, as well as the basics of navigating the library website.
Instructional Design Consultation
The librarians can also work with faculty members and/or course developers on several other aspects of instructional design:
- integrating help tutorials, learning objects and other assignment-scaffolding materials into courses
- recommending or creating customizable help text for assignments
- providing embeddable videos, Ask a Librarian chat widgets or database search widgets, or other learning objects to help students grasp various research concepts
- getting direct access to library resources and services
- design assignments that aim to instill or reinforce any research or information literacy skills.
Open Educational Resources (OER)
Visit the clearinghouse of open educational resources licensed for reuse and learn about the open access movement in general.
