Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree with a major in the content area or have a bachelor's degree and 30 credits in the content area.
Examples of acceptable English courses include any combination of areas that are included in the field of English Language Arts: literature, poetry, writing, speech, grammar or linguistics. At least 6 credits of upper-level coursework are required and applicants should have at least six credits in literature.
