Note: Students may earn credit via the GRE Advanced Subject tests only if they receive no other credit in the field(s) covered by the test(s). General aptitude tests are not assessed for credit.

Modern States Education Alliance
Note: Modern States, a philanthropy dedicated to making a college degree more affordable and accessible to everyone, is making its "Freshman Year for Free™" program available to SUNY Empire students. Modern States' "Freshman Year for Free™" offers a catalog of tuition-free online courses with free on-line textbooks, resulting in college credit.

New York University Foreign Language Proficiency Examinations
Note: These tests can be taken at locations outside of New York City, but you must make arrangements to have the test proctored by a college faculty member, administrator or government official. New York University provides an official letter or transcript and the results are valid for five years.
