Financial Aid Application Deadlines

The financial aid deadline is the date by which you must have all financial aid applications, additional financial aid requirements/documents and appeals submitted and any student loans accepted in order ensure the processing of your aid eligibility by the payment deadline.

The financial aid deadlines for 2022-2023 are as follows:

• Summer 2022- April 15, 2022
• Fall 2022- August 5, 2022
• Spring 2023- December 9, 2022

The financial aid deadlines for 2021-2022 are as follows:

• Summer 2021- April 16, 2021
• Fall 2021- August 2, 2021
• Spring 2022- December 6, 2021

Also, the priority deadline for federal campus-based aid including the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), New York State Aid for Part-Time study (APTS) and Empire State College grants and scholarships is April 1 prior to the start of the award year.

Financial aid files completed after the financial aid priority-deadline dates discussed above will be reviewed. However, our office cannot guarantee that financial aid will be processed before the payment due date.  Students in this situation should consider the college's payment plan.

Students who do not have sufficient funding or payment in place by the payment due date may lose their registered classes for the term. To avoid registration cancellation, please apply early so that we may determine your eligibility.
