College Branding Toolbox

Welcome to the Office of Communications and Marketing college branding toolbox. Here in one location, you'll find the tools to help you with projects that use elements of the college brand and visual recognition.

Writing Style Guide

Empire State College adheres to AP style for both print and the Web. The college writing style guide includes college-approved exceptions.

Graphics Style Guide

Use this guide for approved graphics standards, approved use of the college's logo and brand and for creating copy and print materials that present a unified image of the college.

Web Standards and Practices Guide

The college's Web Standards and Practices Guide is a joint project of the Office of Communications and Marketing and Information Technology Services and is for everyone working with college and college-affiliated webpages, including vendors hired for Web-related projects. The Writing for the Web section provides clear guidelines for creating online content.

With 35 locations statewide, a number of overseas locations and a growing online presence, it is imperative that we present one, unified, consistent image of Empire State College. Please follow these guidelines to help protect the coherency of our message for all internal and external audiences.

If you have any questions, or specific needs not addressed in these pages, please contact the Office of Office of Communications and Marketing at 518-587-2100, ext. 2494.
